Le Zouave des Abbesses

Hasta el momento hemos ido viendo, que la palabra Zuavo ha ido más allá y se ha convertido en un concepto, un estilo muy característico que ha traspasado fronteras. Lo más característico del estilo zuavo son los pantalones bombachos y el fez con la borla.

Profundizando más en este tema, una cosa que me llamo la atención en Paris, es que aparte de la estatua del puente d´Alma este la estatua del Zuavo, exista un restaurante que también se llama Zouave.

Este restaurante de cocina exotica se encuentra el barrio de Montmartre, el barrio de los artistas, en la calle Duratin nº 8, a escasos metro de la salida de metro Abbesses, pero en un lugar escondido y es por esta razón que se llame Le Zouave des Abbesses.

El local es un sitio recogido con tan solo diez mesas, con una decoración clásica donde llama la atención las lámparas donde en las pantallas hay unos zuavos que bailan. Su horario es de martes a sábado de 20h a 23h, y el menú sobriamente renovado y a unos precios razonables.


Until the moment we have been seeing, that the Zouave word has gone more and become a concept, a very characteristic style that pass borders. Most characteristic Zoauve´s style is the baggy trousers and the fez with the tassel.

Deepening more in this subject, a thing that I am called the attention in Paris, it is that aside from the statue of the bridge d´Alma the Zouave statue , exists a restaurant that is called Le Zouave des Abbesses.

This restaurant of exotic cuisine is in the district of Montmartre, the district of the artists, in the Duratin street, 8, near to the Abbesses undergroundr, but in a hidden place and is called Zouave des Abbesses.

The premises are a site gathered with just ten tables, with a classic decoration where it calls the attention the lamps where in the screens have dancing Zouaves on it. The open time is from Tuesday to Saturday from 20:00h to 23:00h, and the menu sober renewed and with reasonable prices.
